The Carnation Condensery smokestack operated for 25 years in the early part of the 20th century to produce millions of tins of condensed milk. Today the plant and the railway -- the Bellingham Bay and British Columbia Railway -- that served the plant are gone, but the smokestack remains a promenent feature of the Everson skyline.
