In Plainville, along South Street, is the American Legion hall, with a tight assembly of monuments for the many wars that have been fought. The one furthest to the right (facing the building from the street) is for the Gulf War/War of Terrorism of August 2, 1990.
The monument stands about 2 to 2 1/2 feet tall and is almost a cube. The inscription is simply:
"Gulf War/War on Terrorism
August 2, 1990"
No names, thankfully, are listed on the monument.
The whole assembly is easily visible from the street and is in front of the hall. Park anywhere, as long as there isn't an event going on.
