Along South Street at the border of Plainville and North Attleborough is a sign and marker.

The sign has "Plainville" on one side and "North Attleborough" on the other. Near its base is a stone marker about 2 feet high with "P" on one side and "NA" on the other. North Attleborough was established in 1887, while Plainville was established in 1890. Thus, the earliest date that the monument could have been placed is 1890, and this is the date used in the field, below.

The monument is located at the intersection of South Street and Everett Street. Park just about anywhere - I parked at the VFW hall to the north of this location.

The monument not only defines the boundary between these two towns, it also defines the boundary between Norfolk and Bristol Counties. However, the line was orginally established in 1664 to define the boundary between Massachusetts Bay and Plymouth Colonies.
