Small Lac de Melo (Lavu di Melu in Corsican) is one of glacial lake pearls of mountain area of Massif du Monte Rotondo in Corsica (Haute Corse).

The Lac de Melo is located in the upper part of Restonica valley (altitude 1710 m), about 10 km from the town Corte. Lake is located circa 2 hrs of walk from parkings in lower part of Restonica valley. Lac de Melo is a glacial lake, frozen 6 months of year, which gives birth to the river Restonica, a tributary of Tavignano. The beautiful Restonica valley with surroundig glacial lakes is favorite target for many holiday hikers...
