Someone has created a lean to with rusted roof on the front of this kiln. The kiln is in very good condition, except for the trees growing on the top, which has a stone wall round it. There was a gateway for access to the top, which has been walled in. The hearth is in fine condition forming the back of the shed.
In 1821, these three kilns were sold. Document held at Barrow Records Office.
