The Tallahassee AMVETS post meets monthly in the American Legion Post on the north shore of Lake Ella in Tallahassee.

Since there are no AMVETS posts in my immediate area, I decided to look up the post in Tallahassee, Florida, as I was going there for a conference. When I arrived at the address, I discovered they meet in an American Legion Post. After I returned home I phoned the post commander who explained they meet in the American Legion's Auxiliary room on the 1st Thursday of the month. They are a small post, and this arrangement made more economical sense as they continue to grow in numbers.
