These cabins were constructed by Camp S-99PA (Camp Kooser) of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), who constructed these cabins and other facilities in the park such as roads, grills, latrines, and water hydrants.
These cabins can be rented out by individuals for week-long periods in the summer months, and by a two-day minimum interval during the shoulder seasons. During the winter, the cabin rentals are overseen by a concessionaire. Each cabin has mattresses on the beds as well as a refrigerator, microwave, stove and sink with hot water. Outside each cabin, you will find a charcoal grill, fire ring and bear proof refuse receptacle. A modernized washroom with flush toilets, hot water showers and laundry facilities, is located within walking distance of the cabins.
The
Park is managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of State Parks. There is also a family campground and day-use area at the park with a lake-style beach.
