Pleasant View Cemetery is located about a half mile south of the city of Valley Springs, SD.

The monument itself is in the center of the cemetery and is made of granite. The local American Legion Post 131 was responsible for installing this memorial, along with the Auxiliary.

Description of Memorial:
This simple memorial is located in the Pleasant View cemetery south of Valley Springs. It is a granite stone about 5' high sitting on a marble base. Directly in front of the memorial is a small marble cross. About 8 feet to the left of the memorial is a flagpole for the American flag.
