London's Trafalgar Square has two large fountains. One fountain has a sculpture of mermaids by a different artist. This fountain, known as the Jellicoe Fountain, has a 1948 sculpture of a merman and a merboy...with a dolphin and other sea creatures below them. The mouths of the merboy and dolphin serve as spouts for the fountain. This work is by the artist Sir Charles Wheeler. Another sculpture by Wheeler is nearby, see (
