It doesn't get any more convenient for the cruise ships.

The Holiday Inn on the Bay is right across the street from the cruise ship terminal. They do offer a shuttle service, but unless there are mobility problems it's easier and more convenient to just walk. The attached pub is open for all 3 meals, although breakfast is pretty busy on cruise ship days.
You can check out in the morning, and they will look after your bags until you are ready to go to the cruise ship.
