Built in 1845, Bethlehem Church is the oldest stone church in Rockingham County. It replaced an earlier Quaker meeting house. During the US Civil War, it was used as a hospital. In 1952, the Bethlehem United Church of Christ constructed the neo-Gothic building next to this location. The congregations maintains the early building for occassional use.
