This is an early photo of Mainstreet in historic Warrenton, Virginia located in Fauquier County. Warrenton has been around for a very long time. It is filled with lots of early American history as well as the Civil War. This intersection is located just in front of the Fauquier County Courthouse. This intersection is well documented in photography and paintings. The photo is from 1910. Many of the building in the photo have been renovated, but are the orginal buildings. The large fountain on the corner has long been removed. Direction is looking down Mainstreet at east, southeast direction.
