This is where it all began. The crossroad of Yosemite Ave. and Main Str. has always been considered the founding center of Manteca and every postcard throughout the last hundred years had the same motive: Yosemite & Main. Here is a picture from a 1940 postcard and a picture I have taken today, May 28, 2006 at the corner of Yosemite & Main, facing east.
