Uttaradit is one of the seemingly innumerable small provinces of central and northern Thailand. A capital, surrounded by rice fields, villages and light industry. Linking this city of Uttaradit to Bangkok, and to the large city of Chang Mai to the north, is the northern Thai rail line, and in the town centre is the town station.

This station does differ from other Thai stations I have seen. It has the appearance of an apartment building, with multiple stories and lots of unused rooms. I suspect that this was at one time a administration centre for the rail, or something else, however, appearance notwithstanding, the usual range of services are available. Inside the building is a ticket counter, a waiting area, and the tracks through the station. Few tourists make it here, so virtually no English.

Waymark made at road side entrance.
