This old water tower, which is 25m high, was built in 1924 by mining director Johannes Schwartz.

Der alte, 25m hohe, Wasserturm wurde 1924 durch Bergbaudirektor Johannes Schwartz errichtet. Über die Außentreppe gelangt man zu zwei übereinander liegenden, kreisrunden Räumen, die als Jagd- und Vergnügungszimmer genutzt wurden. Die obere Turmetage ist mit derb-naiven Malereien verziert; Sinnsprüche feiern das Vergnügen der Jagd. Der alte Wasserturm liegt wenige Meter vom Fürst Pückler Radweg entfernt und lädt zu einem kleinen Picknick oder Erfrischungstrunk förmlich ein.

Primarily the tower was used as a water tower for the nearby castle and village but due to the fact that the owner was an passionate huntsman, the rooms remember on an hunting lodge.
The external staircase leads to two overlapping, circular rooms that were used as hunting and entertainment rooms. The upper floor of the tower is decorated with coarse-naive paintings and epigrams which celebrate the pleasure of the hunt.
The old water tower is located a few meters from the Fürst Pückler cycling route and invites you to a small picnic or a cold drink.
