The cemetery with seven graves marked with field stones and one mysterious tombstone is located north of Lake 7 and Bunker 45. The tombstone is mysterious in that when the cemetery was inventoried in 1941 when the federal government took over this land to build a munitions plant in support of the war effort for World War II this tombstone was not present. The stone for Julia Smith was moved to the cemetery at some point after 1941. Research has shown that Julia Smith was buried in New Picker Cemetery in south St. Louis County. It is thought that possibly someone (would have been more than one person as the stone is quite heavy) took the stone from its original location and then decided to abandon it in a different cemetery though the mystery will probably never be solved definitively.
