The 1894 Ordnance Survey map says:-
Leeds 7
Wakefield 1
But locates it slightly closer to Wakefield. AND the milestone itself, whilst saying Leeds is 7 miles as on the old map, Wakefield is noted as being 2 miles as opposed to 1 on the map.
The 1908 version says:-
