This marker to the 64th Ohio Infantry Regiment is located off of the trail (blue blaze) paralleling LaFayette Rd., north of Vinyard-Alexander Rd on the Chickamauga National Battle Field. In 2011 there was no trail leading to this marker.

This marker for the
64th Ohio Volunteer Infantry (or 64th OVI) is in recognition of their service during the
Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 19–20, 1863. It marker the position of the 64th at 4 p.m. on September 19, 1863. This is one of three markers to the 64th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment on the battlefield. The 64th Ohio Volunteer Infantry was organized at Camp Buckingham in Mansfield, Ohio and mustered into Federal service on November 9, 1861.
