The Prince of Songkhla University (named in honour of the father of the King of Thailand) is the leading university of southern Thailand. There are campuses in each southern province, with the principal campus located in the large city of Hat Yai. In addition to its other achievements this campus encloses a coordinate palindrome.
The palindrome is located adjacent to the Faculty of Agro-Industry building. In fact very close to the building. It took me some time to find the correct spot. The presence of the trees, and the building itself made acquiring a GPS signal difficult, however, the palindrome is very close to the second small tree, from the right, in the second gallery image. The easiest way to reach the building is from the main campus entrance, on the south side of the university.
I have visited many Thai universities, and have never been challenged on entry. If you do visit here and someone does ask what it is you are looking for, the simplest explanation is that you like universities and wish to take some photographs. I very much doubt that you will be refused entry.
I deleted the 4th decimal from the gps/iphone display, also, my gps application cannot include a leading zero. Thus no leading zero preceding the '7'. There are several other waymarks in the campus.
Palindrome Type: Variant Palindrome
