The plaque reads, "Historic building built in 1905 as the hub of the original balboa land of development as well as the terminus for the Pacific Electric Railway from Los Angeles, restored in 1962 by Document Realty Company. The cupola has long served as a navigational aid and is maker on harbor charts."
