The memorial is in a rock garden on the campus. On either side of the rock are benches dedicate to Nicole Miller and Mark Bingham. Both were students of WVC and victims of 9/11. The plaque reads:
"In memory of all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. 'Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal'
