This large, new station, filled with shops, beauty parlours and lots of loitering young people, is found ~3kms to the north of the town centre, the 'old town', of Melaka, on the west coast of southern, West Malaysia. This station deals with international buses from Singapore, from other cities and states within West Malaysia, and with local buses into the city and neighbouring destinations. A busy station.
In design it resembles a 'T' with two round things underneath. As near as I can figure the T is the shops and such, while the two round things are bus bays and ticketing areas. The local and long distance seemed to be partly mixed together. The old station used to be inside the city, but that was clearly inefficient. Now you need to take a taxi or a local bus into the city (1 Ringgit).
