The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church parish was founded in 1851 and the cemetery dates to around that same time. The church was founded by German immigrants and many of the early gravestones are in German. The active cemetery has 300-400 graves. The cemetery is well maintained by the church. The church and cemetery are located along Hwy 94 on west side of Augusta.
