The church is reached by walking up a flight of granite steps. An imposing building, it features a circular stained glass window above the entrance & holy water receptacles cut into the granite either side of the main entrance. Single receptacles are found at the side entrances.
The roof was originally shingled with wood which was replaced with fine slate in the late 19th century.
The church bell is equally impressive & is now housed in a tower to one side, following a gift honouring a parishioner's deceased parents. It is thought that the bell was mistakenly delivered to Braidwood having been intended for St Mary's Cathedral in Sydney.
