The bridge & line have been closed to scheduled services since 1997. The line is maintained between Stanthorpe & Wallangarra for the tourist trade with only steam trains running occasionally.

You can view the bridge from a safe parking area a hundred metres away (S 28° 40.957 E 151° 55.245). Whisky Gully Rd is a typical rural road catering for local traffic.
