It was not until 26th August 1922 that the first stone was laid to build this church. Before that people had to walk to Effingham of Epsom, both several miles, to go to Church. The exterior of the church is mainly of Bargate stone from Godalming; the stonework inside is in Bath stone.
The stained glass windows above the Alter show the life of Christ, from right to left it shows the Annunciation, The Infant Jesus in Mary's arms and Jesus in Mary's arms after he was brought down from the cross.
Although the church porch is open and you can go in, you cannot enter the main church area. However, large glass widows allow you to see into the church and at the fine windows.
