The Burbank Downtown Post Office, now called the "Bob Hope Branch" was built in 1938 and was originally Burbank's main Post Office branch.

The Burbank Downtown post office was built in 1938 and is in the Mission Revival style of architecture popular in Southern California in the 1920's and 30's. The lobby features original Spanish tiles, fine woodworking and two murals honoring Burbank's aircraft construction and movie industries.
The exterior architecture of this building is obscured by pine trees planted along Olive Avenue. With the exception of some regrettable 1970's remodeling of the service counters (think Formica), the interior looks much as it did in 1938.
