Edinboro University's 1.6 million dollar solar panel array is used to provide power to the nearby McComb Fieldhouse. The array generates approximately 251,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, enough to power about 23 homes. Production of electricity started in October of 2011 and is expected to offset 262 tons of carbon emissions per year.
