Scenes of Iowa countryside are painted on the exterior of the Bass Pro Store in Altoona. This scene is near the front entry on the north side of the massive building and depicts water fowl enjoying the wetlands that are found throughout the state. It is an appropriate mural to be used for Bass Pro since the store sells merchandise related to outdoor appreciation. This mural was painted by Melvin Lovejoy, and the geese were added by D.L. Burkhart. No date was given but the store opened in 2009.
