In Boston, at the edge of the North End neighborhood, is Christopher Columbus Park. Within the park is a white stone statue of Christopher Columubus. Behind the statue is a circular stone feature that bears a compass rose.

The compass rose has 32 points, eight of which form a starburst, with directions engraved for each point. There is a Fleur-de-lis at the north direction. In the center ring is the text, "Boston - 1976" when the park was established. Around the compass rose is the following text:

"This park is dedicated to the memory of Frank S. Christian 1906-1970
A Boston businessman whose enthusiasm for Boston led the public and private efforts to renew the waterfront area of downtown Boston."

The rose compass is easy to access, since it is in a public park. Parking, however, is another story. The closest parking garage is next to Quincy Market.
