The plaque reads:
'POOH STICKS
Pooh Sticks is a highly competitive art
form, a precision skill that requires
not only near-perfect hand-eye
co-ordination and a plentiful supply
of the proper equipment (sticks) but,
crucially, the will and ability to cheat.'
What a delightful description of a game many of us have played through the years; a simple yet fun treat to the outdoors. This area is an ideal spot for Pooh Sticks and as such has been named after the game.
