An old box with a damaged collection plate. The brickwork pillar looks newer. No maker details or other distinguishing features. The keyhole appears worn indicating frequent usage.
Tell us about the area the post box is situated.: The box is situated at a road junction with the nearest habitation approx a quarter of a mile away. A few miles away from Norwich the box is equidistant from the villages of Intwood, Swardeston and East Carleton. These villages also have their own modern boxes. There is a footpath from the box to East Carleton and the Upper Tas Valley Walk can be joined by walking down Swardeston Lane.
