Katherine G. Danahy School is closed and now an elderly housing facility. The old school bell is on display inside a replica of the Danahy School cupola on Veterans Green. The dedication on a plaque attached to the cupola is inscribed:
The bell housed in this duplicate tower had called
children to the North Agawam Katherine G. Danahy
Elementary School since 1900. The monument itself was
designed by Thurston Munson F.A.R.A.
The committee was appointed by the Town Council
on January 19, 1982.
