Odell House was built by brickyard owner Horace Odell as a wedding gift for his son. This handsome building subsequently housed a doctor's office and the University of Ottawa's Department of Music. Distinguished by its mansard roof, central tower and semi-circular dormers, it is an excelent example of the second empire style popular in Canada in the 1870's.
