This very big sculpture, approximately 46 feet tall and 19 feet wide, can be found in a very small park on Huntley Street. The park is on a road that doesn't seem to have a lot of traffic, pedestrian or vehicle, and with a number of large trees in the area I'm not sure how often this sculpture is overlooked. I think it would be better placed in a larger, more open space where it can be seen and appreciated from a great distance as well as up close. You can go into this little park and sit on one of the benches or walk around this sculpture.
The sculpture itself is a large, steel, interesting figure of a tree which is a blend of both deciduous and coniferous trees through the seasons. The silhouettes of the coniferous tree and the two deciduous trees intersect vertically to form the one tree. The different sections of the trees show full leaf as well as bare branches. There are several shapes that have been cut out of different sections of the tree panels, including a walking woman, a set of stairs, a moon and some flying birds. The surfaces of the panels have been brushed in swirling and random patterns which adds some depth and interest.
