The singing tree, which is made out of steel, is situated within a semi-circle of ornamental trees. The position of the sculpture allows the natural growth from the trees to intertwine with the branches of the sculpture thus creating a natural organic link between the artwork and its immediate environment.

This piece, which was funded using a grant from the Arts Council of Wales is approximately 5.5m high and contains 100 metallic birds in its branches and a tree grill around its base that incorporates a 'leaf' theme with integral LED up-lighters. The artist brings a degree of interactivity by incorporating motion activated sensors.
When the tree ia approached the detectors trigger audio and lighting displays.
