A Plaque on a large Red Marine Navigation Bouy, The Plaque is inscribed in Welsh & English, It Reads :-
'This Plaque was erected in memory to Guerrino "JACK" Mariti. in recognition of his valued service to the community.
At this spot Jack the Gentle Giant spent many hours of his spare
time ever vigilant for those in peril.
Jack is accepted with having saved many people from drowning during

A native of Italy who made his home in Burry-Port.

There is no date on the plaque, no information on the internet,
that I could find. I asked the Harbour Master, but he could give
no information.
This location has many plaques to Amelia Earhart, who stepped ashore at this Harbour & became the first Woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean in 1928.
