Building opened in three levels of square plan, with pillars at each corner. The first level rises on the ground and it appears a vertical plane, between the floor and the roof leaked in a horizontal rectangle, in allusion to a window. On the ceiling of this plan there is a hollow cube that spans to the next level, which is also another plan leaked a vertical rectangle, evoking a door. At this level are born two flights of stairs that project to the top floor where there is a wall extending from one side of the building.

This is the monument to the 1st president of the Gulbenkian Foundation, José de Azeredo Perdigão (1896-1996).
