The Whispering Wall, created by Walter Seymour Allward and erected in 1914, serves as the base for a monument erected to honour the memory of Robert Baldwin and Louis-Hyppolyte Lafontaine, two Canadian Statesmen.
Allward positioned the two bronze figures on a long, gently curved pedestal that brought the figures closer to the viewer, inviting interaction.
If you sit on one end of the bench and whisper into the wall to your friend sitting at the other end of the bench, he/she will hear you quite clearly.
The Whispering Wall is available all year round.
