This City of Windsor control survey benchmark is found in the sidewalk along the south side of Riverside Drive as it crosses the Canadian Pacific Railway bridge. At one time, this bridge crossed over tracks and a station (which was removed in the 1920s).
When the building at 825 Riverside was home to the Western Ontario Broadcasting Company Limited, there was a City of Windsor survey plaque (71U1021) on that building. Perhaps this disk was connected to that plaque.
