It is the most northerly beach of Ericeira village and is famous as the site of surf events of the world circuit. It is a beach that is guarded during the bathing season. It has a set of equipment that give it excellent conditions for tourism. Next to the car park has bars that run throughout the year, due to the movement of surfers.
The bedrock underwater develops right waves ideal for surfing and is even the spot chosen for the performance of a stage of World Cup of Surfing.
