La licorne symbole de l'intégrité du ministre combat un dragon.
Cette statue symbolise la qualité morale que s’impose le grand ministre de Louis XIV et confirme le triomphe des vertus sur les vices.
La sculpture originale est aujourd’hui exposée dans l’orangerie, et remplacée sur la guérite par une copie.

Two Jean-Baptiste Théodon's sculptures welcome the visitors of the Park of Sceaux.
The symbolic animals of Colbert crown the sentry boxes of guard on both sides with the railing of entrance.
The unicorn symbol of the integrity of the Minister fights a dragon.
This statue symbolizes the moral quality that is imperative the big Minister of Louis XIV and confirms the triumph of the virtues over the vices.
The original sculpture is exposed in the orangery today, and replaced on the sentry box by a copy.
