There is no signage for this work...so no indication if it is intended to be a representation of an actual person. It depicts an apparent soldier dressed in a long cape and skirt-type covering. Although the figure has the long hair style of 17th century French men, his dress...at least to this Waymarker, appears to be more Roman. Nevertheless, the man holds a long dagger in his right hand and has his right foot atop the head of his vanquished adversary who wears a helmet, sandals...and a flimsy thigh-length shirt.
