This small marker to the 11th Michigan Infantry Regiment is in recognition of their service during the Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 19–20, 1863. This is one on four markers dedicated to the 11th Michigan Infantry and indicates their position at 11 am on September 20, 1863.

1'6" x 1'6" x 3' high, the marker is a simple rock-faced shaft with a smooth-faced, sloped top that carries an inscription. Marks unit's position at 11:00 a.m. on September 20, 1863.
