It was 1993 and my wife and I were in Maitland, Ontario for the wedding of a friend of mine (that ironically didn't last a year). I was in the wedding party, but after the speeches and such my girlfriend (soon to be my wife) and I snuck out and drove down to this parking area by the river. It's a great place to watch the boats go by in the day, but my question was the pressing concern of the moment. She of course said "yes" and 17 years and 2 great children later, my question proved to be the greatest one of my life. I hope you enjoy this spot as well. There is/was a cache here as well. So you can enjoy the river, get a cache and a waymark at the same time, SWEET!!!!
