This is one of a series of murals around the Lancashire fishing village of Poulton le Sands around which the town of Morecambe has grown. They reflect the history and culture of Poulton.

This tranquil scene showing a fishing boat at sea with the setting sun in the distance somewhat belies the nature of the sea that the area's fishermen often used to face.

Like all of the murals in this series, it is made using a coloured render rather than paint. This should ensure that it lasts a long time.
