WGGB broadcasts on UHF channel 40 and is carried by Comcast Cable on channel 4 and channel 840 in HD. The WGGB studios are located on on Liberty Street just south of the Chicopee line.
WGGB originated as WHYN on on April 1, 1953. The station was bought by Guy Gannett Broadcasting in 1979 and changed its call sign accordingly. In 2008, WGGB launched a secondary broadcast service called "Fox 6", so named because of its channel position on the local Comcast Cable lineup. WGGB is locally owned John G. Gormally.
