This Missile Site is located within the Gateway National Recreation Area at New Jersey's beautiful Sandy Hook. Come visit the beach and a missile site.

As visitors to the Gateway National Recreation Area drive toward beach parking areas, they pass by a small parking area which displays a few Nike Missiles and a historical marker. As one travels further north, a Nike Radar site is to be discovered, more missiles on display and a Memorial site on the grounds of Fort Hancock. The Fort was deactivated in 1975. It wasn't until 2002 that the area was opened to visitors...and now it is considered the second-best preserved Nike missile site.
