This water mine was part of a major system designed to bring water to the city of Setúbal, which was inaugurated in 1487. It's safe to enter the cave tunnel although a torch is recommended to walk in all its extension. Which is not that long... about 50 meters, I would say. Usually it's dry but during the Winter water can be a problem.
