Der Schwazer Silberwald ist ein ganz besonderer Fleck in Tirol. Das Naherholungsgebiet mitten im Wald knapp oberhalb von Schwaz hat doch so einiges Überraschendes zu bieten.
Die wunderschönen Wege durch den Wald, vorbei und rund um die Naturarena, laden Jogger, Nordic-Walker und Spaziergänger zu schönen Wanderungen ein. Die Kinder können ausgelassen an einem der Spielplätze spielen und interessante Entdeckungen im Wald machen. Und der Blick ins Tal ist auch wunderschön.
Doch der Schwazer Silberwald ist weit mehr, als ein gewöhnliches Naherholungsgebiet. Es ist ein mystisches Platzl, mit einer ganz besonderen Atmosphäre.
Seit einigen Jahren kommen Kunstfreunde in den ganz besonderen Genuss, Kunst mit und in der Natur bestaunen und erleben zu können. Im Rahmen der Biennale Natura Suartes Art 0910 sind unterschiedlichste Kunstwerke mit oft mystischer Bedeutung eingebettet mitten in die Natur. Beim Elfenkristalldom, einem aus Weidenzweigen wachsendem ‚Dom’, hängen Kristalle, die je nach Lichteinfall wunderschön schimmern. In Lydia’s Garten findet man Skulpturen aus Weidenzweigen, und Baubo die Göttin des Humors ist unübersehbar. Der Klang der Windspiele trägt auch dazu bei, dass man das Gefühl hat, an einem ganz besonderen Ort zu sein.
Klänge der ganz anderen Art ertönen alljährlich im Juni im Silberwald, wenn in der Naturarena an zwei Wochenenden rund um die Sommersonnwendfeier das ‚Woodroot’-Festival stattfindet. Am 12. und 19. Juni tönen ab dem späten Nachmittag Didgeridoos, Percussion, Elfenmusik, New Age Music, African Drums, Crazy und Chill-out Music und ähnliches durch den Wald.
Am 21. Juni findet dann bei Feuer und Musik eine Sonnwendfeier statt.
Aus welchem Grund man auch immer in den Silberwald kommt, … für jeden hat er einen ganz besonderen Reiz und eins ist fast sicher: man kommt immer gerne wieder!
